Illumination event “Rurie”
At Nara Park, walking distance from the 120 years Machiya architecture “HARUYA Naramachi”, the Illumination event “Rurie” has held in limited period from February 8th to 14th. 426 thousand people visited last year. The scenic sites representing Nara, such as Kusuga Taisha Shrine, Kofukuji, Todaiji and Nara Park come to fantastic light path.
Walking on a vast site including three light-up world heritage sites (Todaiji, Kofukuji, Kasuga Taisha) and Nara park. During the exhibition period, the fireworks of the Kasuga Taisha Shrine are held, the doors in front of Todaiji Big Buddha’s faces are opened, and the National Museum is open at night, so we can enjoy the night in Nara.
