Whole House Rent
One entire townhouse is rented out for one group. For the exchange study abroad or group travel, our 100years old typical Japanese traditional townhouses can provide accommodations with traditional atmosphere with all of the modern comforts of home. We wish to offer travelers an opportunity to meet Japanese culture and exchange cultural experiences.

HARUYA Higashiyama｜Kyoto
Geisha district, walking distance to Kiyomizu-Temple and Gion
15 minutes by subway from Kyoto station. More than 100 years old townhouse. Located at Kyoto Higashiyama area, more than 12 million people visit in a year, it is within walking distance to the popular sight seen spots such as Kiyomizu Temple, Gion and Main shopping district. In the morning and evening, we can walk along the small river and enjoy a pleasant stroll.

Kyoto Station Area MACHIYA Architecture
4 different tastes of 100 years architecture, “HARUYA Umekoji” is. 8 minutes by bus (15 minutes walk) from Kyoto station. Walking distance to two world heritage sites (Toji, Nishihonganji). One way bus stop to Kiyomizu Temple, Gion, Kinkakuji etc. Long-established Kyoto style such as Japanese garden, lattice, round window, edge side are respectfully inherited.

More than 120 years of the village headman residence. Japanese garden, family bath, guest room with traditional Japanese houses have fully Japanese atmosphere. Located in NARAMACHI area with the townscape from ancient times. Walking distance to Deer Park, Great Buddha statue and five other World Heritage sites. 8 minutes by bus from Nara station (15 minutes on foot).

Q: How can I use whole house as a group?
A: The guests can use whole house privately from two persons. We have a group of about 10 guests or more.
Q: How many people can use the whole House Rental?
A: 2-20 people (the capacity vary between houses).
No curfew after check-in
Q: How long can you keep our tentative reservation?
A: For one week, we could keep your reservation request as tentative reservation. In the latest reservation that is below one month till the scheduled date, we contact you specifically.
Internet access available
Q: Is there a cancellation charge?
A: We are charged a cancellation fee in accordance with the cancellation regulations. Please contact us for more information.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: We have cancellation fee by the cancellation policy. Please ask us for details before booking.
Children are also available
Q: How Many months before can we reserve?
A: 12 months before we accept the reservation. If even one another booking we have, we could not accept the Whole House Rental. Please inquire earlier.
Rent a hundred years of historical architecture
Q: If our group has over the capacity of accommodation, what should we do?
A: It is possible to use by charter only. Please feel free to contact us. We could chose several accommodations for your staying in Kyoto and Nara.
